A short commentary published in the proceedings of a conference held at Academia Sinica's Institutum Iurisprudentiae in Taipei in June 2010 on legal education and rule-of-law education in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. Responding to the conference papers on legal education in mainland Chinese law schools, it considers the direction that legal education in mainland China should take.
